SH0CK DNA RESULT RIPS DAD’S WORLD APART
Mkhululi Rodwell Khumalo thought he had a happy family with wife Sehliselo Sibanda and their little daughter – until a DNA test destroyed everything. Khumalo had been married to Sehliselo for five years and they had a daughter together before they split up last year.
But after the divorce, nagging doubts entered Khumalo’s mind. He started to suspect the little girl he had come to love and think of as his own flesh and blood might not be his biological child. In a heartbreaking move, he took the girl for a DNA test.
The result was devastating – the test confirmed the little girl was NOT his daughter after all. “Now I want my name to be removed from her birth certificate,” a distraught Khumalo told the court. His name and that of his ex-wife Sehliselo appear on the birth certificate as the parents.
Despite developing a strong bond and affection for the girl over 5 years, Khumalo applied for an order to have his name struck off the birth certificate. The judge granted the order, removing Khumalo’s details from the official document.
The sh0cking DNA result has ripped Khumalo’s world apart, leaving him unwilling to continue being listed as the girl’s father even though he had raised her as his own for years.
