ENVIRONMENT, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality deputy minister Barbara Rwodzi has caused a storm after allegedly verbally assaulting a senior police officer.
Rwodzi, who is the Zanu PF legislator for Chirumanzu South constituency, was recorded insulting a senior police officer, who was preparing a docket against the Zanu PF supporter, only known as Danger.
This is how people reacted to the video:
What is to “sit down and talk?”. While this could be a very simple phrase it’s implications on police work in this case could be devastating – Chidza Sachidza
It sound concocted. How come the officer at one time calls himself a constable qnd and then says assistant inspector – Tendayi Zinyama
The Policeman is working for CCC. Even the way he talks is terrible. Deliberately triggering the honourable MP – Hulu
Ndiyo Tourism yamakasiya madzidzisa vana here iyi. Sh0cking language from the Honourable, entitlement yekuti ndini ndo creator mutemo, yet she can’t even follow mutemo wacho – Tapsy
I thought she should be in “mourning “. It’s regrettable – Dr Walter Mzembi
Even Nick Mangwana, the most hated person in the Zim govt, cannot do this to a person. – 𝑹𝒆𝒚 𝑮𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒊
We need to find out what happens to this officer and stand behind him, a lot of them go through this harassment and end up folding. They are not voluntary supporters – Bhudas Iscariot
I just fear for this assistant inspector’s life and job. Thats the pressure our law enforcement work under. That’s why most of them do not like taking Political cases that involves ZANU pf. As citizens we end up blaming them but vari pama 1 – Ceaser Cicero
Such an exaggerated sense of self-importance. Pple living on borrowed time & power tend to forget tht those privileged positions would be very temporary & can change in an instant. Well done to the cop for recording the call. We need to rid our public offices of such characters – Beta Than All The Rest
The police officer did well but basa rogona kupera vanhu ava vane Simba zvimwe zvatoita tenge tiri correct but basa rikapera mhuri inozodii think before u act sometimes – Kudzaishe Mapengo
This is the Zanu PF DNA from Hebert Chitepo School of ideology – Siphili Dube
Those who know Rwodzi will not be surprised! I’m hoping people will start to dig more. This is also so ZanuPf. The intimidation of those who do not agree with them is the order of the day. You can see Grace Mugabe and Auxilia Mnangagwa in Barbara’s tone. So ZanuPf-ish! – Shane Dora
