TOTAL ZANU PF SWEEP IN MBIRE
Zanu PF is cruising to a landslide victory in Mbire after receiving endorsements from across the Dande Valley constituency, party bosses claimed.
With 36,500 registered voters, Mbire has benefited hugely from the Second Republic’s infrastructure drive according to provincial chair Cde Kazembe Kazembe.
He told supporters: “We thank President ED Mnangagwa for the tarred Mahuwe Road, Dande Dam and progress at Kanyemba.”
Council chief Cde Chidongo said work is advancing at the future tourism hub of Kanyemba, with hotel plans approved and a new Y bridge under construction. Power from Zambia via ZESCO is also on the cards.
Zanu PF candidate David Butau pledged to build 35 new classrooms before the elections. He wants a passport office to help locals trade in China and Turkey.
In a major blow to the opposition, several CCC and NPC officials defected to Zanu PF at the rally, including former CCC youth chief Paradzai Katungamidza.
Cde Butau confidently declared: “As the Mbire family, we are cruising to a 100% victory for President ED Mnangagwa in August.”
With the second republic delivering much needed development, it seems Zanu PF’s message of prosperity is resonating strongly in Mbire as election day draws near.
