A 20-year-old woman from Bulawayo’s Bradfield suburb has been charged with aggravated indecent assault after allegedly kiss!ng her eight-year-old stepdaughter. The woman, whose name has been withheld to protect the minor’s identity, appeared before a regional magistrate and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The incident is said to have occurred in December last year when the woman allegedly gave the child a piece of paper with the message “k!ss me” written on it. After the child went to the toilet, the accused followed her and kissǝd her, according to reports.
The incident was reported to the police by the child’s father, leading to the woman’s arrest. The trial is set to continue on July 11.
