Police in Zvishavane have finally caught an notorious house breaker responsible for a sh0cking spree of 21 burglaries targeting groceries, clothes and blankets.
Midlands police spokesman Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the arrest of shameless serial thief Nyikadzino Tsuro, 38, from Chivi in Masvingo.
In a series of bungled break-ins, the clumsy criminal targeted washing lines stealing clothes as well as breaking into homes through locked doors using duplicate keys.
The thieving twit managed to steal goods worth a shocking US$6,858 though some of the plunder valued at US$3,526 was recovered from villagers he sold the swag to.
The bumbling bandit’s burglaries were mainly concentrated in low-density areas and residential suburbs of Zvishavane – but his insane spree of crime has finally come to an end after police traced the trash to his village in Chivi.
Insp Mahoko urged residents to be on alert,warning: “Take note of how the crimes occurred and avoid falling victim in the same way.”
