The decomposed body of a local man has been pulled from a river leaving police baffled over his grim death.
Munyaradzi Mubayi (33) was discovered in the Muchairi River near Goromonzi on Monday afternoon.
Cops say his corpse was in an “advanced state of decomposition” with blood around his nose and mouth hinting he could have been brutally attacked before being dumped in the water.
Little is known about the victim at this stage but officers are appealing for information from the public to help piece together the mystery surrounding Munyaradzi’s final hours.
In a tweet Goromonzi cops said: “Police in Goromonzi are appealing for information that may assist in the investigation of a murder case in which Munyaradzi Mubayi (33) was found dead near Muchairi River on 26/06/23 at around 1700 hours.
“The body of the victim was found in an advanced state of decomposition with blood clots on the mouth and nose.”
Anyone with information is urged to come forward to help catch the heartless thugs responsible for inflicting such a gruesome end to an innocent life.
