Police in Harare are investigating two separate incidents that occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday.

First, a gas explosion took place in Glen Norah A, resulting in three family members sustaining burn injuries when the dining room roof was blown off by the explosion. According to police, a gas stove exploded in the room where the informant, his 4-day old son and 19-year old daughter were present. Both the stove and refrigerator were destroyed. Police said the informant had sprayed insecticide in the room before lighting the gas stove.

Separately, police are appealing for information that could assist in solving the murder of 52-year old Jannet Magombo. Police said Magombo’s body was found on Wednesday around 6am along Zambezi Road near Glen View 9 Primary School.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist their investigations.
