Zanu PF in BIG TROUBLE as Chamisa’s CCC unleashes devastating ‘Yellow Wednesday’ strategy

The opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Zimbabwe has launched a new initiative called “Yellow Wednesday” to bolster its rural mobilization exercise, Mugwazo, ahead of the upcoming August 23 harmonized elections. The CCC launched Mugwazo as a strategy to gain support in areas that have traditionally been strongholds of the ruling party, Zanu PF.

The launch of the Yellow Wednesday in Epworth North constituency was led by CCC aspiring candidate Zivai Mhetu. The campaign involved distributing campaign materials in the informal settlement south-east of Harare. Other aspiring candidates under the Epworth Local Board also participated in the campaign.

Mhetu stated that the Yellow Wednesday initiative would run until voting day, and it aims to increase the party’s visibility in the constituency while complementing the Mugwazo program to gain maximum votes for their presidential candidate, Nelson Chamisa.

The CCC has deployed senior party leaders to several provinces across Zimbabwe to drum up support for the opposition party. The party hopes that their Mugwazo and Yellow Wednesday campaigns will help them gain traction in areas where they have historically struggled to win support.
