A RUWA man is on the run after rɑp!ng his neighbour’s 15-year-old daughter.
Steven Madzima was reported to have rɑpǝd the girl four times in Solomio suburb.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, has appealed to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect.
“On Sunday at around 8.30pm, the girl was on her way to her neighbour’s house where she slǝǝps when they are away.
“She met the accused person who followed her, and when he got into the house, he locked the door and rɑpǝd the girl four times.
“The following morning the complainant went back to their house and her mother noticed that she was having difficulties in walking.
“Upon being interrogated by her mother, she revealed that she was rɑpǝd by the accused person,” said Insp Chakanza.
In another case, national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said three men kidnapped and gang rɑpǝd a 27-year-old Mabvazuva woman in Ruwa on Sunday.
“The victim boarded a skyblue Toyota Wish at Joji Shopping Centre in Ruwa intending to go to Solomio. On board were three men, including the driver.
“While on the way, one of the accused persons blindfolded the complainant with a piece of cloth and tied her hands with a rope.
“Accused persons took her cellphone and forced her to phone her uncle notifying him that she was no longer coming to Solomio.
“They drove to an unknown place in Ruwa. They arrived at a certain house in Ruwa and force marched her into one of the rooms where they took turns to ǝ her without protection.
“The accused persons locked the door and went away leaving the complainant inside. They came back on Monday around 6am and blindfolded her.
“They took her into their motor vehicle and dumped her at an unknown place in Msasa,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.
