Two armed robbers raided a travel agency in Harare and stole US$78,000 in cash on Saturday, according to police.
Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the robbers attacked two employees with knives as they were preparing to deposit the money at the bank.
The robbers got away with a bag containing $78,000 in cash and three cellphones. Nyathi urged anyone with information to report it to the nearest police station to help catch the perpetrators.
Police are investigating the robbery, which Nyathi said occurred on June 3 at Satguru Travels agency in Harare. He said the two suspects used knives and pepper spray in the attack.
