Police in Zimbabwe are investigating after a foetus was discovered dumped in a toilet in a Chitungwiza home.
According to a police statement posted on Twitter, the disturbing discovery was made on Monday, May 22 at a house in Manyame Park, Chitungwiza. Police provided few additional details about the circumstances of the case, but said they are now probing it as an instance of “unlawful termination of prǝgnɑncy.”
Illegal and unsafe ab0rtions are a persistent problem in Zimbabwe.
