A retired educator with decades of service was tragically murdered while on his way from church in Kwekwe on Tuesday.
Lovemore Marume, 64, who taught at Chiedza Primary School and headed St Andrews Primary School in Zhombe for many years, was last seen alive by his family around 4pm as he left for church.
According to police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Mr. Marume’s body with multiple stab wounds was discovered lying in a pool of blood along Ruvimbo Road near Ruvimbo Primary School around 8:20pm by passersby.
Inspector Mahoko said another body of an unidentified woman was found lying dead several meters away. Police are still investigating the motive behind the murders and the woman’s identity.
