Musician Andy Muridzo is taking a firm stand against H-Metro following the publication of a story suggesting his marriage to Rumbidzayi Mwabvu, known as Mai Simbiso, is in jeopardy.
In a heated response, Andy vowed to have the newspaper’s news editor fired for what he calls defamatory reporting about his personal life.
In a dramatic shift, Andy reached out to H-Metro to clarify the situation, stating, “I just wanted to live a quiet life and did not want my private life to go public for the sake of my children as well as my music.” He expressed deep frustration over the media’s portrayal of his marriage, which he insists is intact.
“The truth is that I never separated with Mai Simbiso; it’s only people who have bitterness with my life who are spreading falsehoods,” he asserted. His remarks indicate a strong desire to dispel the negativity surrounding his relationship and reaffirm his commitment to Rumbidzayi.
During the interview, he addressed the news editor directly, issuing a stern warning: “Mark my words Arron, from tomorrow (yesterday) going onwards I want to prove to you that I can end your job.” This statement underscores Andy’s determination to retaliate against what he perceives as unfair treatment.
As the couple has been married for several years, Andy’s anger is rooted in a deep personal investment in his family life. He expressed his concerns about the impact of the media on his children and his music career. “I didn’t want to answer but hey apa H-Metro mandihwinha uye munogara makandihwinha ndinovimba kuti mafara nezvirikutaurwa nevaverengi venyu,” he lamented
With the allegations swirling, Andy firmly stated, “Tiritese naMai Simbiso,” emphasising that they are together and navigating their challenges as a united front. He also shared that he was on his way from Beitbridge when he decided to set the record straight.
