Gweru – A dispute over enjoying lula lula with a talented prostitute ended tragically last weekend in Driefontein, Midlands province, resulting in the death of a 36-year-old man. Casper Mhari was fatally assaulted following an argument with another man, identified as Marshal Shiri (33), over the services of a prostitute.
Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident, providing details of the altercation.
“A misunderstanding arose over a lady of the night between the deceased and Marshal Shiri (33) of Nyumbi 1 Village, Driefontein. Shiri took a log and struck Casper Mhari three times on the head,” Inspector Mahoko explained. The brutal attack left Mhari unconscious.
The severity of the injuries sustained by Mhari became tragically apparent when he was rushed to Muonde Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred after Mhari had been drinking beer at the Mandipezano homestead in the Driefontein area, in the company of Evans Shonhiwa, also aged 36, from Chaka, Chirumhanzu.
The details surrounding the initial argument remain unclear, however, the police report indicates that the disagreement escalated rapidly, leading to the fatal assault. The involvement of a sex worker highlights the complex social dynamics often present in such situations, and raises questions about the broader context of the incident.
