A raunchy dancer, identified as Kim, leader of the Spicy Angels dance group, is on the run from police following a shocking incident at Choggs Bar in Epworth last weekend.
A video circulating online shows Kim engaging in a public lula lula act with a male patron on stage, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday night, depicts Kim taking a male fan onto the stage. She then proceeded to pull down his trousers and underwear, exposing his genitals before performing lula lula acts in full view of the club’s patrons. The man reciprocated, engaging in indecent acts himself.
The video has ignited a firestorm of criticism, with many calling for the arrest of both Kim and her partner. The Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ) has reacted swiftly, describing Kim’s behaviour as “unacceptable”.
“Hazviite zvaakaita zviye and that is public indecency and we condemn such acts in public. She should just do her job of dancing not to strip fans and have sex with them on stage,” stated DAZ president Harpers Mapimhidze.
He further criticised Kim’s subsequent actions, stating: “She was summoned to the police and lied that she was going to hand herself over but she has been evasive since the day she was called by the police.”
The DAZ has announced an investigation into the matter and confirmed that Kim’s licence has been revoked.
“I am sure police are going to do their job and arrest such individuals. We are also going to investigate this case and revoke her licence,” Mapimhidze confirmed.
He emphasised the association’s stance against such behaviour, stating that “we don’t allow such kind of behaviour and as an organisation, we are against such acts. That is embarrassing, vana vanodzidzei, we condemn that as an association.”
Ironically, Kim shares a name with the internationally renowned Kim Kardashian, whose own sex tape scandal in 2007 made global headlines. This latest incident, however, has drawn parallels to Kardashian’s experience, albeit with a distinctly different context.
In 2004, Kardashian and then-boyfriend Ray J filmed themselves having sex. The resulting tape, released in 2007, sparked a legal battle with Vivid Entertainment, the company that secured and released the tape. Kardashian’s lawyer, Steven Kurtz, filed a lawsuit to prevent its release, but ultimately failed to stop its distribution on March 21, 2007.
Seventeen years later, another Kim finds herself embroiled in a scandal of a similar nature, albeit with significantly different circumstances. Unlike Kardashian, who was a private citizen at the time of the tape’s creation, Kim was a registered member of the DAZ, leading the Spicy Angels dance group.
Mapimhidze confirmed this, stating, “She is the founder of the group and she is our member and she is registered. I am sure, she was just overzealous, kuda kufadza maclients, this is not the first time.”
This admission suggests a pattern of behaviour, raising further concerns about the oversight and accountability within the dance group and the DAZ itself.
The police are currently searching for Kim, who has failed to keep her promise to turn herself in for questioning.
