Chiredzi is abuzz with the story of Never Chiwore, a 32-year-old man who found himself in hot water after a public outburst of very strong vulgar insults directed at a police officer and a shopkeeper.

His actions, which involved a tirade of too much offensive language and personal attacks, have landed him in court facing a charge of indecent assault.

The incident, which occurred in Chiredzi, involved Constable Tawanda Chemutsanga, who was on duty when Chiwore called him over. Instead of a polite request, Chiwore launched into a verbal assault, showering the officer with vulgar language and derogatory remarks.

“He insulted Constable Chemutsanga using unprintable words and told him that he wore rugs (referring to the Police uniform) in order to beg for free rides on private vehicles,” a source close to the case revealed.

Chiwore’s tirade didn’t stop there. He later turned his attention to a local shopkeeper, Beatrice Nyasha, who had refused to sell him a plate of sadza. Again, he unleashed a torrent of vulgar language, demonstrating a clear disregard for basic respect and decorum.

The severity of Chiwore’s actions led to his arrest and subsequent appearance before Magistrate Diana Masiiwa. He faces a charge of indecent assault, a serious offense that carries potential consequences for his actions.

“He appeared before Magistrate Diana Masiiwa facing a charge of indecent assault. He was remanded for continuation of his case. Ellina Fatini prosecuted,” a court official confirmed.
