Artshestar Ziki, a 22-year-old woman from Chief Ntabeni’s area in Zhombe, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. The incident occurred on June 30, 2024, at the Ziki homestead around 4 pm.
Regional Magistrate Musaiona Shotgame convicted Ziki on an aggravated indecent assault charge, and she will serve the entire 15-year sentence. The minor was heading cattle when Ziki lured him to her homestead under the pretext of hiring him for a task. She led him into her bedroom where she sexually abused him.
According to prosecutor Malvern Nzombe, Ziki asked the boy to enter her bedroom hut to collect tools for a job in her garden. Once inside, she pushed the boy, closed the door, and started fondling his penis until it erected. She then pushed him onto her bed, removed his clothes, and inserted his penis into her vagina.
The boy tried to wrestle her, but Ziki overpowered him, and he cried for help. Eventually, the minor revealed the ordeal to his grandmother, who accompanied him to file a police report, leading to Ziki’s arrest. A medical report was produced as an exhibit in court.
