Prophet Miracle Paul, a name synonymous with spiritual guidance and community upliftment, has taken his philanthropic mission to new heights, leaving a trail of hope and generosity in his wake. His latest act of kindness has sent a wave of gratitude and inspiration through the Rose of Sharon Welfare Organisation in Ruwa, Mashonaland East.
The prophet, known for his down-to-earth approach and commitment to helping those in need, has donated a Toyota Aqua vehicle, a much-needed borehole, blankets, and thousands of dollars to the Rose of Sharon Children’s Home. This generous act is just the beginning of a nationwide philanthropic drive, a testament to his unwavering belief in the power of compassion and the importance of supporting vulnerable communities.
“I grew up as an orphan after I lost my parents at a tender age,” Prophet Paul shared with Chronicle Showbiz, his voice carrying a depth of understanding and empathy. “So, whenever I give, it’s not about seeking popularity, but I resonate well with the orphans. I know how difficult it is growing up without parents.”
His words resonated with the spirit of Proverbs 19:17, a biblical passage that underscores the importance of kindness and support for those in need. Prophet Paul’s actions are a living embodiment of this timeless principle, demonstrating that true faith is not merely a matter of belief but a commitment to action.
The impact of his generosity was palpable at the Rose of Sharon Children’s Home, where joy and gratitude filled the air. The orphanage, founded in 2004, provides a haven for children who have been abandoned, orphaned, or come from child-headed families. They offer shelter, food, education, healthcare, social amenities, and recreation, ensuring that these vulnerable children have a safe and nurturing environment to grow and thrive.
Dr Fatima Maruta, the founder and president of the orphanage, was overcome with emotion as she expressed her heartfelt thanks to Prophet Paul.
“I’d like to thank Prophet Miracle Paul for the donation,” she said, her voice thick with emotion. “The gift came at a time when I had nothing to offer to staff members. I had just come out of fasting and praying, and now this is what God has done.”
The donated vehicle, set to arrive in Zimbabwe next week, will be a valuable asset to the orphanage, providing much-needed transportation for staff and children. The borehole, a source of clean and sustainable water, will address a critical need for the home, ensuring that the children have access to a vital resource. The blankets, a symbol of warmth and comfort, will provide much-needed relief during the colder months.
The prophet’s generosity extended beyond material gifts. He also blessed the orphanage employees with S$300 each, while pastors manning the centre received US$1 000 each, a gesture that reflected his deep commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
“The children are taken from all walks of life,” Dr Maruta explained. “These are children who are abandoned and dumped in the streets or orphaned, with no extended family to provide care, and those from child-headed families. They are brought to Rose of Sharon by police, social welfare officers, and community leaders, at ages ranging from a day old to 21.
“Currently, the organisation is providing care to 86 orphans and 90 youths.”
Prophet Paul’s philanthropic mission is not confined to Harare. He has a strong presence in Bulawayo, where he has established cell groups, and plans to extend his generosity to the Matabeleland region.
“I’ll be taking my philanthropy in and around the Matabeleland region, beginning with Bulawayo,” he stated. “The City of Kings and Queens is part of my itinerary after hearing cries from the city, and I’m happy to be of help to them.”
