Police arrest five suspects linked to unsanctioned gathering in Kuwadzana

In a move to maintain public order, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested five individuals associated with the National Democratic Working Group, an organization allegedly connected to opposition figure Job Sikhala.

The arrests come after the group reportedly organized an unsanctioned gathering in Kuwadzana Extension, with the police accusing the suspects of agitating for criminal acts across the country.

According to the police, the group is led by ringleader Edmore Svinurai, who has been taken into custody alongside four other individuals. The ZRP has stated that the arrests were necessary to prevent any potential disruptions to the country’s peace and stability.

“The ZRP has arrested five suspects from National Democratic Working Group linked to Job Sikhala and led by ring leader Edmore Svinurai for an unsanctioned gathering in Kuwadzana Extension and agitating for criminal acts in the country,” reads the statement.
