Police in Chegutu have arrested a former Zanu PF minister in connection with two reports of theft made by farmers who were leasing his land. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed that Bright Matonga was taken into custody in Chegutu following the issuance of a warrant of arrest by the courts.
“The ZRP confirms that Bright Matonga has been arrested by Police in Chegutu in connection with two reports of theft made by farmers who were leasing his farm.
“A warrant of arrest was duly issued by the courts. More details will be released in due course,” reads the statement.
