3 ruthless armed robbers raid house, make off with owner’s car and US$15,000

In a brazen act of violence, a group of armed robbers struck a residential plot in Waterfalls, Harare, on June 20, 2024, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake.

According to the police investigation, the incident occurred around 2:20 am, when three unidentified male suspects, armed with iron bars, broke into a cottage on the property. The suspects proceeded to attack two occupants before making off with four cell phones.

The robbers then moved on to the main house, where they assaulted another occupant and stole a significant haul of cash and car keys. The suspects reportedly made off with $15,000 USD and the keys to a Toyota Regius vehicle, registration number AFD 1490, which they used to transport their ill-gotten gains.

The police have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, appealing to the public for any information that could aid in the identification and apprehension of the suspects.
