Tragic accident claims four lives, including two police officers, at Mapinga
In a devastating incident at Mapinga, four individuals, including two Chinhoyi police officers, lost their lives in a fatal accident involving a Mahindra vehicle and a cross-border Trip Trans bus.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the national police spokesman, confirmed the occurrence to NewsDay and stated that an official statement would be released tomorrow morning.
While details are still emerging, an eyewitness at the scene revealed that the collision occurred in a head-on manner. The Mahindra police vehicle, travelling towards Harare, reportedly veered into the lane of oncoming vehicles, resulting in the tragic accident with the bus.
“The police Mahindra vehicle was travelling towards Harare encroached into the lane of vehicles travelling from Harare causing the accident with the bus,” explained the eyewitness
