Four arrested at witchdoctor’s house following murder in Silobela nightclub
In a shocking turn of events, police have apprehended four individuals during a cleansing ceremony at a witchdoctor’s house, just a day after their alleged involvement in a murder case.
The police took Learnmore Chiribani (28), Archford Dube (20), Marshal Chuma (19), and Marvellous Kuchicha (19) into custody for their alleged role in the killing of Ernest Moyo (28) at a nightclub in Silobela on December 1, 2023.
According to a statement released by the police, the suspects were arrested in Mbizo, Kwekwe on Sunday, following a diligent investigation.
Detectives from CID Kwekwe acted swiftly on received information, leading to the arrest of the four suspects at the witchdoctor’s house in Mbizo. It was reported that the individuals had sought a cleansing ceremony following their alleged involvement in the nightclub incident. Ernest Moyo tragically lost his life after sustaining multiple stab wounds during the altercation.
The arrest of the suspects yielded significant evidence, as a Columbian knife, a VI pin stainless steel kitchen knife, and an okapi knife were discovered concealed in a plastic bag under a block brick behind the witchdoctor’s house. These findings provide crucial material for the ongoing investigation, which aims to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.
“On 03/12/23 detectives from CID Kwekwe acted on received information and arrested Learnmore Chiribani (28), Archford Dube (20), Marshal Chuma (19) and Marvellous Kuchicha (19) at a witchdoctor’s house in Mbizo, Kwekwe where they had gone for a cleansing ceremony following a murder case which occurred at a night club in Silobela on 01/12/23 in which Ernest Moyo (28) died after being stabbed with knives indiscriminately over an undisclosed issue.”
“The arrest of the four suspects led to the recovery of a Columbian knife, a VI pin stainless steel kitchen knife and an okapi knife which were stashed in a plastic bag under a block brick behind the witchdoctor’s house,” reads the police statement.
